What is a Domain Name?
A domain name is a web address. The domain name is mapped to an IP address on the internet (simply stated, it is like a unique telephone number). When someone types a domain name, like www.jessietech.com into a web browser, the requested web page will open.

What if I already have a Domain Name?
The domain name will need to be transferred for a nominal fee to our hosting server and then we can create and launch your web site.

Can you help me with Domain Name Research and Registration?
Yes, if you do not currently have a domain name, we do the above for you as part of our web design plan.

Can I get one or more email accounts with my web site?
Yes, one is included for free with your domain name registration. For example, yourname@yourdomain.com can be your email address. Every account is able to be upgraded if necessary with additional email accounts.

What if I already have a web site and I only want it revised?
If you have your data on a media file, that would be the easiest for us to work with. If not, we will need to attempt to duplicate your style. Either way, we don't have permission to access an existing site that is under contract and hosted on a different server. We do offer several options and are happy to discuss those with you on an individual basis.

What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining client's web sites files on a server. Web hosting is the service that makes a web site available to others on the internet. This is possible because the hosting server is a computer which is connected full time to the internet.

Do you charge hourly or use a flat fee?
We can do either depending on your needs. Typically, a flat fee for a standard, personally customized web site is $1499 which includes Flash design and back-end coding to enhance search engine optimization. This also includes 3 years of free hosting and 10 years domain name registration. In addition, we market your web site with various popular search engines, such as Google, Yahoo! and others. Anything needed above and beyond what is included in this package will be assessed at an hourly rate of $55 an hour. Of course, if you pick one our web sites from our Gallery Collection, your web site fee will be much lower. We are always willing to customize a package specific to your needs and budget. Do you require a deposit?
We request 50% of the total cost once the estimate is approved. Then, the final 50% is required prior it's launch date. As soon as payment is received, the finished web site is published on the world wide web.

How long does it take?
Of course, it all depends upon the complexity of your request. If you choose to use one of our styles in our Gallery Collection, we can have your site complete in less than 7 business days. If you choose to have your site customized, it should take less than 30 days to complete.

What is SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?
SEO is the process of choosing targeted keyword phrases related to a site, and ensuring that the site places well when those keyword phrases are part of a potential client's web search.

Why doesn't my site appear in the top searches if I paid for SEO?
It takes time for your site to be seen. The more visits or "hits" to your web site, the faster it will move up in the rankings. You can do several things to optimize your rank. We can discuss that with you if you choose to purchase SEO.
